Subject: Christmas Party Update

Hello all!

Happy St. Andrew's Day - Patron Saint of Scotland :)

Sorry I've been MIA - between birthdays falling on Thursdays (my BIG one was
last Sunday :), and my back acting up on Thursdays (lately resulting in some
nasty headaches)...Irish unfortunately has taken a bit of a back seat.

However, as tomorrow is December 1st already...I just wanted to ask a few
questions and present a few thoughts - in regards to our Christmas Party:

1- Want to confirm that it is on Thursday, December 21st.

2- Start time?

3- If I remember correctly it's a night of no classes, but lots of eating,
music and party pieces.

Will each class be singing a song? Reciting a party piece?

4- If I can have some music lyrics written in Gaelic ahead of time - I would
be happy to create a songbook of sorts - for everyone to partake in a
sing-a-long! Thoughts?

If you like the idea, can anyone of the talented musicians copied herewith
supply me with a few appropriate carols before the 19th?

5- I will have a handout flyer for each class to distribute - with a request
for volunteers to bring food and refreshments. It would be nice if each
class could report back to us with what people intend to bring so - we can
make sure we are not overloaded on one food item.

If I remember correctly it's a smorgasbord of pot luck finger sandwiches,
chips, dips, cheeses, beer (?)....followed by cakes and cookies, coffee (?).

How to go about obtaining the beer from the bar? Who covers the costs?

Should sodas be a donated food item? If not, again who covers the costs?

Are there coffee urns for our use - or did we do Dunkin Donuts coffee box?
Ditto Costs?

Is there a budget for little holiday decor - such as table clothes and
napkins?

6- Is there anything else Jan and I should be thinking about?????? Let us
know!

Thanks!

Alison
