Non capisco le parole it is Buon Natale
No entiendo las palabras it is Feliz Navidad
Ni thiguim na focail it is Nollaig Shona Duit
I don't understand the words Happy Holidays or more to the point why you are
sending it now!
Wahington's and Lincoln's Birthday were in February -You sent no regards
4th of July is a "holiday" I got no email from you in July.
Labor Day was in September
Thanksgiving was in November
Diwali has come and gone- I was dressed in a Punjabi wedding suit at my
PUBLIC school though I have but 2 punjabi kids in my school just to help all kids
learn about others- for that folks say we are educating NOT converting or
indoctrinating...
Chanukah -which was celebrated in my PUBLIC school -with a large menorah
placed in the main office and Chanukah gelt given to the kids- ended a week
ago...
What HOLIDAY are you wihing us well about?
Could it be CHRISTMAS? I am sick and tired of being able to be considered
worldly and multicultural for wishing every group of folks in the world well in
their custom and by name but not being saluted as a CHRISTIAN with the words
MERRY CHRISTMAS...
So I do not accept your wishes because you words-beaten into you- whether you
realize it or not - by the anti Christian media- AND believe me they have a
BIG agenda and an active interest in eliminating the name of Jesus and the word
CHRIST and his teachings from our thoughts and vocabulary.
COUNT ME OUT. I have been saluted and praised by every Department of
Education and Governament Bureaucrat for my "multicultural" and "inclusive" programs
yet when they right to me they say "Happy Holidays"- and to them I say as I do
to you- Bah Humbug to your "Holiday".
And for your information- Nobody says Buenas Fiestas in Spanish and when I
asked the only REAL Native Born Irishman at the Hall the other night after the
Gaelic School's Christmas party "How would you say "Happy Holidays" in
Gaelic"? He answered with great wisdom and typical Irish wit -"YOU DON'T"!!!!
Stop the bull...- Though I am a rather rough and tumble less than pious kind
of guy-You fellas with the over the top, selling out of our religion and our
culture are the problem. DIVERSITY MUST INCLUDE CHRISTANS!!!
Yes, in a free society you can say anything you want- But your lack of
understanding and refusal to include Christainas in your world of Diversity makes me
ill. You are serving an evil agenda-perthaps without realizing it-
Just remeber if the folks who stick to their religion (the muslims) ever win
out I doubt they will be as open to your generic, bland and cowardly exclusion
of their chosen deity.
I am highly disappointed with this wish and yes I understand the nature of
the SGGT as a nondenominational :ANGUAGE school. But the language of the Irish-
Gaeilge- says Nollaig Shona Duit.
Just as the Arabic Language says Salaam Malekem or the Hebrew says Shalom.
If we went to these part of the world we would endeavour to learn the culture
of the masses guage which is inticately entwined with their language.
I still love ya but don't mess with Christmas!! Nollaig Shona daoibh go
leir!!!!
